Lessons & Carols

Our festive and worshipful Lessons and Carols event was a blessing to see. Please enjoy some of the special moments highlighted in the video below.

Additionally, our PTF's Hot Chocolate and Cookies event was a wonderful turnout and a fun time of fellowship for our community.

Thank you to all who helped to make these events so special.

PTF Love Offering

Due to a brief complication with our online giving platform over the weekend, we wanted to extend the opportunity for the community to contribute to the PTF Love Offering for faculty and staff.

We will be extending through tomorrow (12/12) at 9 a.m.

Thank you!

From the Nurse's Corner

Thank you all for your kindness and support in our interactions- it is a joy to care for your children. As sickness climbs this last week of school before our break, please continue to help us all stay healthy as we round out this year and begin the next one.

Sickness Discernment

  • Sickness Guidelines- page 43-44 in Parent Handbook
  • If you send them with caution, please have a plan in place in the event that they worsen, so we can quickly get them home.
  • In the absence of obvious sickness, we support you cheering your children on to school! However, if it is mentioned, “if you still don’t feel better, I will come and get you.” Please plan to come and get them! Naturally, this often becomes the goal- especially for our younger kiddos. Consider a “you're going to make it!’ that aims them for success.

Coughing

  • As we heal from our viruses, the cough is the last to go away and can last for up to a month. We completely understand! If your child is coughing more than they are not (can’t go 15 minutes without coughing) it is very hard for them to concentrate and can be a barrier to hearing classroom instruction both for them and those around them. Consider sending effective cough medicine (or whatever remedy you use at home) to us to keep for them.
  • If your child is a frequent user of cough drops (just ask them!), consider sending them with a supply. We do stock them but have used almost 4000 cough drops since school started- wow!

Merry Christmas and Happy New Year from the Nurse Wack!
