• Thursday, October 26th is the day for any student who missed picture day or needs to have his or her picture retaken. Proofs will be sent to the school within the next few weeks. Please email your student(s) name and grade to mwollny@veritasnc.org.

• There will be a PTF meeting for anyone who wants to learn more or get involved, and our group leaders on Friday, October 27 at 8 a.m. at Veritas in the Nature Study Building. Feel free to join! Email ptf@veritasnc.org with any questions.

Greek Cookie Fundraiser:

Veritas Chef Indy Miner and her culinary students are baking made-from-scratch Greek butter cookies to sell in the afternoon carline starting today, October 23 Two LARGE cookies for $3. All proceeds go towards Theatre Veritas. 

November Hot Lunch Ordering & Volunteer Sign-Up!

Place your orders for November Hot lunch before this Wednesday, October 25th! You will want to pay special attention to the traditional Thanksgiving Feast on Friday, November 17. This is an annual event at Veritas that the students look forward to each year. If you do not typically order Hot Lunch, you may want to consider ordering this special meal for your child.

Additionally, we could use your helping hands in the cafeteria! If you can serve lunch to our students, we would greatly appreciate you signing up below!

Senior Recognition Ads

Parents and families of the Class of 2024, it is time to gather those pictures and begin wordsmithing for your seniors' yearbook recognition ad. All you have to do is create an account with Josten.

Click here to begin designing. Please note, that you need to pay for the ad by December 13, 2023, but you can continue working on it during the holidays. It will need to be completed by Friday, January 19, 2024.

Senior Class Fundraising

ONLY ONE MORE WEEK!

You have until Monday, October 30th to cross those "To-Do" items off your list and lighten the load for the Christmas season, by ordering your Christmas tree and wreaths! Beautiful Frasier Fir trees and wreaths to decorate your home.

There are 9-12 ft trees available, prices vary. If you are interested, please email mwollny@veritasnc.org for more information.

All proceeds go towards the senior class fundraising efforts for their spring break trip.

Warrior News

What a time to be a Warrior!

Our Girls' Cross Country Team finished second at the CSAA State Championship meet! Veritas had three runners turn in the top 10 finishes in the 5K race. Hannah Stage (23:17) finished third, Aunica Tomlinson (25:17) finished sixth, and Lydia Lewis (25:58) finished ninth. On the boys' side, Callen Whitney finished ninth overall with a time of 20:34. Great season by both teams! Thank you to head coach Nathan Sundt, and assistant coaches Marie Pender and Ashley Petty. 

Our Varsity and JV Volleyball Teams competed in the WPAC tournament. The Varsity Team won the Championship, defeating Christian Family Academy (3-0), Reynolds Mtn. Christian (3-0), and Pinnacle Classical Academy (3-1). Brooke Miller and Bella Vollaro were named first-team All-Conference. Kaitlyn Miller was named first-team All-Conference and Player of the Year!

The JV Team was defeated by CFA 0-2. Both teams will compete in the CSAA State tournament this week.

The Varsity Soccer Team also competed in the WPAC soccer tournament. The Warriors defeated Temple Baptist 9-0, Lake Lure Classical Academy 6-3, and The Master’s Academy 3-2 to claim the Championship. Nick Cretu and Caleb Randles were named first-team All-Conference. Veritas will compete in the CSAA State tournament this week as well.
