What a wonderful community gathering we had on Friday evening at the annual Fall Picnic! Thank you to all who came out to be a part of the fun and festivities and for contributing to this spirited event!

Salt & Light Serve-A-Thon

We are looking for those who want to participate in giving back, by partnering with each VCA class to volunteer in our community.

Rhetoric School Reminders

Wednesday, October 11th from 8:00 - 11:00 a.m. is the PSAT-NMSQT for the 9th-11th grades. This year the test is digital! Willing students should plan on bringing their own devices.

Thursday, October 12th Sophomores (6:30 p.m.), Juniors (7:30 p.m.) is Family College Night for the Sophomores and Juniors. Students and parents should plan to attend their designated meetings. We'll go over important information and timelines to create a calm and wise atmosphere around the college-going process.

Parents of juniors and seniors: please note that deposits for letter jackets and class rings are due by October 4th. Please contact Buffey Smith with questions.

Warrior News

The Veritas Volleyball Teams had a busy week. The Varsity Team defeated Bethel Christian School 3-0 to start the week. The Warriors then played three conference matches. Veritas beat Haywood Christian Academy 3-1, Lake Lure Classical Academy 3-0, and Long Shoals Wesleyan 3-0. On Saturday, our girls played in a tournament in Greenville, SC. Our girls won matches against the Greenville Hurricanes, Augusta Eagles, Legacy Early College High School, and Bob Jones without dropping a set. They lost to Cabarrus in the semi-finals, and ended up finishing 3rd out of 14 teams! The JV Team lost to HCA 2-1, beat LLCA 2-0, and beat LSW 2-1. The Logic School Team beat HCA 2-0, and lost to LSW 0-2. 

Our Boys' Soccer Teams had an undefeated week. The Varsity squad beat LLCA 10-1, and then beat Christian Family Academy 4-0. The Logic School Team played CFA twice, winning both games 2-0. 

Basketball season is just around the corner. Sign-ups are open to all Rhetoric and Logic School students. If you have a child that is wanting to play, please have them stop by the front office to sign up.
