A Fun, Collaborative Time of Learning!

Rhetoric School and Kindergarten students worked together to dissect owl pellets last week. It was a fun learning opportunity for all.

Place your orders for November Hot lunch before October 25th! You will want to pay special attention to the traditional Thanksgiving Feast on Friday, November 17. This is an annual event at Veritas that the students look forward to each year. If you do not typically order Hot Lunch, you may want to consider ordering this special meal for your child.

Warrior News

The Veritas Girls Cross Country Team won the WPAC Championship last week! Hannah Stage was named Runner of the Year after winning the race with a time of 23:09. The Warriors also had runners place 3-5 with Emma Stover (24:14), Shea Nichols (24:42), and Lydia Lewis (24:53) turning in great races. Aunica Tomlinson also turned in a Top 10 finish with a time of 25:02, good enough for seventh place. Our very young Veritas Boys Cross Country Team worked hard all year. Callen Whitney was the top finisher for Veritas, finishing 11th with a time of 21:49.

The Varsity Boys Soccer Team won three matches last week. The Warriors defeated the Asheville Trailblazers 8-1, and IC Imagine 4-1. Veritas then started the WPAC tournament with a 9-0 victory over Temple Baptist. The Logic School Team tied IC Imagine 1-1, before dropping the season finale to Rabun Gap 0-5. The Logic School Team finished the regular season with a record 6-8-2. Thank you to Head Coach Adam Guice for his work with our boys this year!

The Varsity and JV Volleyball Teams both swept Heritage Christian School in their only action of last week. The Logic School Team lost their regular season finale, losing to IC Imagine 0-2. The Logic School Warriors finished the regular season with a record of 10-7. Thank you to Head Coach Kelly Longman for all of her hard work with our girls!

Our Varsity Soccer and Volleyball Teams, along with our JV Volleyball Team will be in conference tournament action this week.
