On this episode of Anchored, Soren is joined by Dr. Robert Woods, author, headmaster of Veritas Christian Academy, and a founder of the Great Books Honors program at Faulkner University.

The two discuss the paideia approach to classical education that focuses on academic coaching and Socratic seminars over just lectures. Dr. Woods talks about the formation and design of the Great Books Honors program at Faulkner University. They also talk about his book, currently in the process of being published, “Neither Angel Nor Beast,” as a way to think classically and theologically about the social sciences.

Warrior News

The Veritas Varsity Boys Basketball Team won three games last week. They defeated Community Christian Academy 81-47, Long Shoals Wesleyan Academy 74-27, and Christian Family Academy 83-49.

The Logic School Boys Team beat LSWA 40-19, but lost to CCA 25-53 and CFA 21-42. 

The Veritas Varsity Girls Basketball Team won their lone contest of the week, defeating CCA 64-5.

The JV Warriors beat CCA 42-2 and Carolina Day 32-13, but were beaten by CFA 20-24.
