Sunday at 11:00am
This weekend, Father Frank Iacona of Cross Catholic Outreach will be celebrating Masses and speaking on behalf of the poor in developing countries. We are grateful and blessed to have him!
READINGS FOR THE TWELFTH SUNDAY IN ORDINARY TIME
PRACTICE OF FAITH
The difficulties and hardships we experience can leave us feeling like we are hit with a violent squall. Today's readings invite us to do hard work: to choose to see God's wonders amid the tempest.
- Take a moment to reflect on a time when you asked Jesus, as the disciples did in today's Gospel passage, if he even cares that you are perishing. Instead of being terrified as your boat fills up, how can you work with the Lord to still the waves and cultivate quiet and stillness?
-
Choose an issue of justice with which you are unfamiliar and spend time learning about it. Resources are available under the "Issues and Action" tab of the United States Conference of Catholic Bishops' website, usccb.org.
- Consider how, as a member of a larger community, you can calm unjust seas with the Lord by advocating for justice.
-
Learn more about SJV's Social Justice Committee and check out a meeting.
We are doing our best to continue to provide a safe space to worship for everyone. Click here to see current COVID safety measures.
Live Stream Mass is on Sundays at 9:00am.

Thank you to all who have responded to the needs of our regional Church by supporting the 2024 Annual Catholic Appeal! Our journey as Catholics is not undertaken alone. We are all a part of this one body of Christ and your generosity speaks to the impact that our community can have. Whether it is supporting parish staff through centralized services, supporting seminarian formation and education, or uplifting youth and young adult programs and events, your generosity matters.
We have hit 26% participation – but we can do better. Historically, this parish reaches close to 90% participation. Please show your support for our parish, its efforts, and the programs supported by the Annual Catholic Appeal by pledging to it. You can donate using the button below.

The last day of preschool was last Friday! We celebrated with all our wonderful preschool families. The students performed some of their favorite songs, led by our enthusiastic music teacher, Madison Stoneman. The performance was followed by our annual preschool picnic, a graduation photo backdrop to take pictures, and an ice cream truck.
As we reflect on all the happy and exciting times we've had and how much our sweet preschoolers have grown and have learned, we also thank our preschool parents for sharing their little ones with us.
If you happen to stroll these beautiful grounds this summer, check out our amazing preschool garden, pull some weeds, or just sit on the bench for a while and read a story to your kids/grandkids. It is such a peaceful place.
Wishing all of you a happy and fun-filled summer break!
Registration for the 2024/25 school year is winding down and thanks to your prayers, encouragement, and advertising SJV Preschool to your family, friends and neighbors, enrollment is going very well. We still have:

- 2 openings in the Tue/Thu (9:15 - 1PM) 3+ class

It is a fun short-term commitment, and it is a great way to meet new people.
