The castor oil plant has a long history of ethno-pharmaceutical use for the treatment of abdominal disorders, arthritis, backache, muscle aches, sciatica, chronic headache, constipation, gallbladder disorders, menstrual pain, and the reduction and treatment of scar tissue.
