The new year is now officially underway! Please note that parent meetings take place this week and you don’t want to miss it! Putting names with faces and figuring out how things happen at  high school is just part of the agenda. This is your first opportunity to meet and socialize with parents of your daughter’s classmates! Community is a big part of the Ursuline experience and we want to be sure that you feel included.

I look forward to meeting new parents and chatting with those of you who are returning. We have plans for a great year … for parents and students!!!

Back-to-School Parent Meetings

Grade-level parent meetings will be held to discuss grade-specific events, opportunities, and what to expect throughout the year. Attendance is strongly encouraged.

Grade-level designated dates and times are listed below:

• Freshmen Parent Meeting - Monday, August 19 at 5:30-8:00 p.m.
• Sophomore Parent Meeting - Monday, August 19 at 6:00-8:00 p.m.
• Junior/Senior Parent Meeting - Tuesday, August 20 at 6:00-8:00 p.m.

Global Immersion Trip to South Africa

Applications are still available 

We will be visiting Brescia House School, an Ursuline sister school, and staying with host families in South Africa from March 15-28, 2025. Students from Brescia House visited us in the spring of 2023. ALL Sophomores, Juniors, and Seniors are welcome to apply for this global opportunity. Applications are due August 23rd. Please contact Mrs. Mullen or Mrs. Payne with any questions.

Bear Den School Hours

The school year hours for the Bear Den are now in effect:  Monday through Friday, 7:30 a.m.-3:30 p.m.

Senior College Application Meeting

Monday, August 19 - Activity Period 

There is a mandatory meeting for seniors on Monday, August 19 during Activity Period. During this meeting we will explain important information regarding the college application process including application deadlines, transcript requests, submitting ACT scores, requesting letters of recommendation, and scholarship information. Seniors will meet in their College & Career Planning groups. 

Individual College Application Meeting

On Monday, August 19 a link will be sent to seniors to sign up for an individual college application meeting. During this meeting we will discuss a college list and application requirements and deadlines for each college. Parents are encouraged to attend either in person or virtually. 

Schedule Changes

Deadline Thursday, August 22 

Students have 7 class days to add / drop courses. The last day to make a schedule change for 1st semester and yearlong courses is Thursday, August 22. Students will need to have a discussion with their counselor to start the process.
