The Whittier Uptown Association and the organizers of Taps and Tapas would like to officially unveil its next food event the Nixon Plaza building on Saturday, September 30th from 1pm to 6pm.

25+ uptown restaurants and eateries in attendance plus a craft beer garden for those 21 and over.

"Postura," which is Spanish for "posture," presents a discussion about the varying influences on identity, culture, livelihood, beliefs, and ultimately one's stance.

Who can advertise or  promote events in the Whittier Uptown Association (WUA) Calendar?

WUA Members in good standing can have their event(s) published on this Calendar for  FREE.  Submit your information (including flyer in JPEG or PDF format) and a link where subscribers can register or find out more about the event. The calendar is generally sent out on Monday of each week.  Email me at olivia@whittieruptown.org
 
As a member, you can schedule a Ribbon Cutting Ceremony or Grand Opening at no cost. We will help to promote your special event with friends, family and our community. 

If you are not a WUA Member, there is a nominal cost to promote/publish your event.  Ask how you can be an Associate Member and receive Membership benefits.

The mission of the Whittier Uptown Association (WUA) is to encourage tourism to its charming Historic community and promote the interests of its members. The WUA will achieve this by coordinating quality events which incorporate art, music, food, retail, and community. It will serve to communicate the collective interest of its members, advocate architectural aesthetics, and work in partnership with the city of Whittier in order to foster our core values:
 
  • Nurture awareness of our diverse commerce in order to attract visitors
  • Serve members and their businesses
  • Promote safety, cleanliness and design integrity to attract visitors
