Testing is currently available for LA County residents with signs or symptoms of COVID-19 or have been contact with a person known to be exposed to someone with a confirmed COVID-19 based on the LA Department of Public Health recommendations. Vote By Mail
Check Your Mailbox! All registered voters have been mailed a Vote by Mail address confirmation notice with information on how to register.   You can easily update your address by filling out the Vote by Mail Address Confirmation Card and dropping it in the mail. 
If you haven’t moved, then no action is needed - although, we always encourage voters to check their registration status. More information here: https://www.lavote.net/

Slow Streets Program
Have you had a chance to check out the Slow Streets throughout Highland Park?   Mayor Garcetti has announced a new program of Slow Streets, which include the following locations in Highland Park: ·    

  • Buchanan St. from Ave 50-Aldama

  • Monte Vista Ave 60-56         

Slow Streets are specific locations which allow for locals to have more access for recreation activity in their neighborhood, and to protect overcrowding on sidewalks. Please note, these streets do not allow for  gathering, barbecuing, or playing games that involve physical contact of any kind. Participants are expected to keep at least six feet apart at all times and required to wear a face. You can find more info here:

Great Plates Delivered Program Extended
Great news, Great Plates Delivered has been extended until August 9th. Through LA County's Great Plates Delivered Program, you can help a local senior or business in your community.
Great Plates Delivered offers eligible seniors with three (3) home-delivered meals a day. Seniors over 65, seniors 60-64 years of age who have been diagnosed or exposed to COVID-19 or those at high-risk for COVID-19 may qualify. When you help a senior connect to Great Plates Delivered you're also helping your local restaurant, hospitality and transportation community get back to work.
