Sanofi Updated Vaccine Pricing and Holiday Shipping Schedules
Sanofi recently announced changes to their catalog pricing. For CPP members, the new pricing goes into effect on January 1, 2024. Updated pricing sheets were sent out to all buying group members last week. If you missed them, please contact the CPP office at cpp@nationwidechildrens.org.
Please also keep in mind how holiday shipping schedules (Sanofi and Merck) could impact your end of the year ordering.

Updated Vaccine Schedules Published by the CDC
The CDC has published their updatedpediatricandadultimmunization schedules for 2024. Among the notable updates are:
Added 20-valent pneumococcal conjugate vaccine (Prevnar 20), RSV monoclonal antibody (Beyfortus), RSV vaccine (Abrysvo), and meningococcal groups A, B, C, W, Y (Penbraya).
Deleted bivalent mRNA COVID-19 vaccines, 13-valent pneumococcal conjugate vaccine (Prevnar 13) and meningococcal groups A, C, W, Y conjugate vaccine (Menactra).
Added a new Addendum section to summarize new and updated ACIP recommendations that will occur after the 2024 immunization schedules are published.
CDC has developed catch-up guidance job aids to assist healthcare providers in interpreting Table 2 in the child and adolescent immunization schedules.

Vaccine Update
Pfizer's PENBRAYA™
In October, Pfizer launched a new pentavalent meningococcal vaccine, Penbraya™, that is FDA approved and ACIP recommended as an option when both MenACWY and MenB are indicated at the same visit. The new CPT code (90623) for this vaccine will be effective January 1, 2024.
We expect that private payers will be working to incorporate this vaccine into their payment schedules in the coming months and recommend that you reach out to your major payers to verify adequate payment is in place for this new CPT code. CPP has also updated its Pediatric and Adultcoding cheat sheets to include the new code.

We are currently working to incorporate this vaccine into the CPP/Pfizer contract and will communicate the discount details once they are available.
