CVE Master Management to mark village's anniversary
|
This year marks the 50th anniversary of Century Village East.
The gates first opened to the public in 1974 as CVE became one of the first 55+ communities of its kind in Florida. At the time, most people had never seen the concept of a self-governing, private community of hundreds of buildings.
Century Village East broke new ground, and served as a model for other Century Villages, as well as similar communities.
To mark the village's golden anniversary, CVE Master Management will be installing banners around the community. They will be up later this month.

|
We recently received an email from a resident concerning the feeding of stray or feral cats in the village.
Remember that CVE is considered a private, gated community. There are rules that apply to private, gated communities regarding wildlife.
Please remember that feeding stray animals is prohibited on CVE Master Management property. But if someone is feeding animals on association property, it is a matter to be resolved by the association. CVE Master Management does not get involved in disputes that occur on association property.

|
Per Florida Administrative Code 68A (4001), feeding wildlife is illegal in Florida. Species with rules related to feeding include bears, coyotes, foxes, raccoons, pelicans, alligators, crocodiles, sandhill cranes, and wild monkeys. Feeding wildlife can reduce their fear of humans which may result in aggression and the need for the animal to be removed or killed in order to protect public safety.
Violators are subject to penalties per Florida Statutes, Title XXVIII, Chapter 379, Section 412.
There are rules that apply to wildlife, including fishing for private, gated communities. CVE is a private, gated community. While there may not be walls or fences around our lakes, our lakes are contained within the boundaries of our perimeter walls. Therefore, they are considered contained in a private, gated community. There should be no fishing on association property without permission from that association.

Thanks for the kind words
A resident in Century Village Pembroke Pines recently sent CVE Master Management the below email. It was nice to read that our communication efforts are a cut above other communities.
|
Hello CVE,
My name is Gladys and I recently purchased a condo at Century Village in Pembroke Pines, Florida. I came across your website while searching for my CV website.
I am impressed!
I want to congratulate you on your professionalism and well organized site.
It contains all pertinent information in a concise manner. You can pay online, report a concern, see the Village Insider, view improvement projects, see the live bus tracker. You have the Gate visitors app, a resident phone app, access to all recreational activities in one place!
I wish my Century Village website was as wonderful as yours.
You have all the critical information residents and owners need.
Pembroke Pines CV website cannot compare... it lacks your professionalism.
Your CVE community is getting the information they need, from wherever they are and in addition, it avoids making any extra phone calls or visits to your office.
Thank you for setting a beautiful example and for providing your users what they need. You're doing a great job!
Keep up the great work!

Do not use water hook-ups on the buildings
|
Please remember you are not permitted to use the hose hook-ups on the buildings, or any drinking water for washing your car, watering your landscaping, cleaning the walkways, or anything else other than normal household usage (drinking, cooking, etc).
Your vendors are also prohibited from hooking up a hose and using the water.
This includes outside vendors like car washers and Carpet Cleaners and anyone else that may try to use our water.
Violations could lead to locks placed on the spigots.

New fountains coming to village
|
Two new fountains are being installed in the village. They are going to be located along West Drive between Oakridge C and Newport G, and between Oakridge B and Prescott F.
They will be installed in approximately four to five weeks.
| |
Undercover BSO in the village
|
The Broward Sheriff's Office has been on patrol in the village. This is an undercover stop (the car on the left is the undercover BSO car).
Deputies will continue their crackdown on speeders in the village in February, so please drive carefully and obey the village speed limits.

|
Have you seen the new utility wrap along Century Boulevard? It's much nicer to look at than a plain utility box, right?
More are planned around the village. Just part of CVE Master Management's promise to keep CVE beautiful!
