To the Pace Community:
Dean Marcus Tye will be stepping down from Pace to serve as Provost and Senior Vice President of Academic Affairs at the State University of New York Plattsburgh. His last day at Pace will be July 31, 2024.

Since coming to Pace in 2021, Dean Tye has overseen the implementation of training and foundation grants for underrepresented and first-generation students and over $5 million in capital projects keeping the College of Health Professions Center for Excellence in Healthcare Simulation state-of-the-art on the Westchester and New York City campuses.

Under his leadership, the faculty in CHP have fostered new multi-disciplinary programs with the Seidenberg School of Computer Science and Information Systems with a master's degree in health informatics and with the Dyson College of Arts and Sciences in a master's degree in public health with a global health equity focus.

Dean Tye shared, "It has been a great privilege to work with so many dedicated faculty, staff, and colleagues in administration, as well as alumni, clinical partners, and supporters from our Advisory Board and beyond. Most especially, it has been an honor to help advance the lives of our truly inspiring students. It is exciting to have the chance of a new role as provost to benefit students and faculty across an entire institution, yet at the same time, it is bittersweet to leave the College of Health Professions. True to our motto of Opportunitas, I can say Pace is a great university that does so much to advance the lives of so many."

Please join us in thanking Marcus for his leadership at the University and wishing him all the best in his new endeavor.

We will share details on transition plans for the College of Health Professions shortly.
Sincerely,
Marvin Krislov
