August 22, 2024

Dear Colleagues,

We hope this message finds you well. We are writing to update you on our ongoing contract negotiations with the Union of Adjunct Faculty at Pace (UAFP). As you may know, the Collective Bargaining Agreement (CBA) between Pace University and UAFP concluded on June 30, 2024. We agreed to an extension until September 3, 2024, and have continued our negotiations.

The University has made a significant proposal to the UAFP, which includes substantive increases for three years of 11.5% in the first year, 7% in the second year, and 7% in the third year of the Agreement. This compounds to 28% over the three-year contract.

The University is fully engaged and committed to reaching a resolution that supports our faculty, prioritizes our students' educational success, and ensures a sustainable financial future for Pace. We deeply value the contributions of our adjunct faculty and appreciate their dedication to our students and the entire Pace Community.

In the event of a work stoppage, the University is working to ensure that our students' education continues uninterrupted. Our college and school leadership have comprehensive contingency plans to ensure that our operations continue smoothly, no matter the circumstances.

Guided by our mission of Opportunitas, we remain committed to providing an exceptional education to our students. We will meet with the UAFP leadership at any time to reach a fair agreement for all parties involved.

Thank you for all you do for Pace.

Sincerely,

Jonathan H. Hill, DPS
