 COVID-19 Update:
The reality of distance socialization (aka social distancing) is sinking in. What was only going to be a few weeks of sheltering in place looks like it might be a few months. Short term coping is one thing; long term is another. What started as family togetherness can turn to frustration fairly easily as the inability to separate from each other continues.

How to cope? No different than last week's message: mindset matters. Self-care, controlled breathing, exercise, fun, eating healthy, sleep- all make a difference.
We are here to help:
As mental health first responders, we are offering:
  • Psychotherapy in English and Spanish via Zoom or FaceTime
  • Free one time 20 minute video conferencing sessions for first time clients to review stress management/ mindfulness techniques to add to your repertoire
  • Zoom groups for teens to teach mindfulness skills to build on their core strengths
    • groups comprised of 4 participants will meet for 4 weeks for 40 minutes each
    • $100 for the series- the first 4 clients to sign up will not pay a fee to register
    • we will add groups for other ages as the need presents
  • Daily updates on the Core Counseling Facebook page- with tips and links to other resources/ activities
The coronavirus pandemic and sheltering at home can be very triggering, especially if one has already experienced trauma. The fear that sets in with every sneeze or cough can be debilitating. Accepting help is the first step in more effectively navigating the current situation- emotionally and physically. Take care of yourself so you can be there for others.
We are in this together and together we will get through.
Our team of clinicians are poised to help. During this pandemic, we are seeing all clients, new and existing, through Zoom, FaceTime, and Skype.
Please call 201.875.5699 to reach us. Leave a clear message. We are here to help.
