This coming Sunday, we will be celebrating Ascension Sunday and Mother's Day

This Sunday, the prayer team will be inviting people who need prayer to come up the center or side aisles during the last hymn. We believe that prayer is an important part of our life together, and we want to try to incorporate it within our worship time together. This will still honor the confidentiality and privacy of those who need prayer.

Changing Our World for May and June is for "World Central Kitchen". World Central Kitchen (WCK), founded by Chef José Andrés in 2010, is a nonprofit organization that responds to disasters by distributing fresh meals to those in crisis. Utilizing our technique of quick response, using local resources, and reacting in real time, WCK has provided over 350 million nutritious meals around the world.

Plant Sale Friday, 5/24, 9:00-6:00 & Saturday, 5/25, 9:00-2:00 Please spread the word to your friends, family and neighbors! This is a great community event with fresh from the nursery! Annual & Perennial Plants, Hanging Baskets, Herbs & Vegetables! 

SAFE SANCTUARIES TRAINING:

New England Conference laity, especially those who work with children, youth and vulnerable adults, are encouraged to learn more about how to provide a safer space for all who come to your church: members, children, and vulnerable adults. This will help you expand your understanding of how to keep everyone safe both digital and in person. Online Training sessions: May 18, 1-4 pm, and May 20, 6-9 pm.

Men’s Breakfast on Tuesday, May 21 at 8:30 am in Woods Hole!

Our very own Rob Blomberg has been a long-time volunteer at the Woods Hole Historical Museum and has agreed to provide a walking tour of Woods Hole for our May breakfast. Unfortunately, this means breakfast won’t be served on the 21st. However, you can grab a coffee and a “Bear Claw” at Pie in the Sky across the street to eat as we stroll the streets of Woods Hole. We’ll meet at the WH Historical Museum at 8:30 am with parking available at the Museum. The Woods Hole Historical Museum is located at 579 Woods Hole Road. Thank you to the Boston Eastern Heritage Chorus for the amazing concert! We hope to see them again some day soon. It was beautiful the truly awe inspiring!

Sneaker Donation

Did you know that your gently worn sneakers could help John Wesley? Well, they can and here’s how: We are starting a fundraiser where all we need is your support and your gently worn, used, or new sneakers! Start in you & your family’s closets & gather as many pairs of sneakers that you no longer want; maybe you’ve out-grown them, they’re out of style, or out of season. The sneakers that we all collect will help raise money to support our church AND will help our environment by keeping sneakers out of landfills. Drop off your sneakers in the labeled cardboard box in the office. We have already filled up one bag!

We are continuing to collect for the Falmouth Food Pantry.

The most needed items are canned peaches, Cheerios, mayonnaise , mustard, pasta sauce and garlic powder.

We have already completed nine of the 22 videos planned. All the titles are listed on the page. The completed ones are featured in the color red. The others are black and have a (coming soon) line beneath them. We hope that these videos will be useful to our parishioners who may be wondering about a particular event or ministry team.
