COVID-19 Update

Dear Friends of Family Promise,

Thank you for your continued commitment to Family Promise during this challenging time as we deal with the Coronavirus. We appreciate your dedication.

As an organization, we are committed to keeping you and those in our programs healthy and safe. To that end, we are implementing rigorous prevention measures for staff, guests, and volunteers to follow.

Any guest in the Network with symptoms (fever, cough, sore throat, etc.) will be isolated from other individuals at the Family Center and appropriate precautions will be taken to contain the spread of the illness. Individuals will not return to the Host congregation until they are medically cleared by a doctor and written notice of this has been received.

If a staff member or volunteer exhibits flu-like symptoms, they will be required to stay at home and seek medical attention, as necessary.

For Walk-in Dinner volunteers: The Housing, Health, and Human Services Center has submitted a very detailed prevention and containment plan to the County. The entire building is being professionally cleaned several times per day and all guests and volunteers of the meal program must use hand sanitizer upon entering the dining room or kitchen.

We are monitoring the information coming from the US Center for Disease Control as well as County health officials so we can update our efforts as new information emerges.

All of us at Family Promise thank you for your ongoing generous hospitality to our guests.

Sincerely,

Kate Duggan
