Controlling the mosquito population is one of our largest singular budgetary items because protecting our residents is a priority.
Cuba Township contracts with Clarke Environmental Mosquito Management, Inc. for larviciding. Larviciding is done within the Township to prevent the hatching of mosquito eggs.
On Thursday, June 20, 2024, Clarke will use a helicopter to drop granules into water sources shown on the map below to prevent mosquito breeding, weather conditions permitting.
Emergency spraying is performed if the West Nile Virus is detected in the Township, and you will be notified by email. Please forward this email to neighbors and friends to ensure they are on Cuba Township's email list. They can sign up here. Residents can also be added to Clarke's notification system below.
The Clarke Portal Hotline is the citizen response system to help residents report standing water and answer questions about mosquito control activities including being added to a notification system for adult mosquito control activities. Use the Clarke Portal Hotline at www.clarkeportal.com/hotline or call toll-free at (630) 894-2000; Press 1 for Clark Mosquito Hotline.
