In conjunction with their current exhibition As They Saw It, The Clark Art Institute is presenting three films throughout the month of May in As They Saw It Film Series. Adding to their statement on the exhibition that "Images have long been an accompaniment to war, whether to document fast-paced events in the heat of battle, to sway public opinion through propaganda, or to convey deep emotions like grief and fear." This film component is a great addition to their goal. The programs are as follows: Representing War in Print and on Film on May 5, Chimes at Midnight on May 11 and The Burmese Harp on May 25. The events are free but you must register online and in advance. For more information and registration, please visit theclark.edu/events.
