How to prepare for Spring Registration
1. Run a Northern Navigator report to know which classes are required
  • Log in to your Student Portal 
  • Click on the NORTHERN NAVIGATOR button 
  • Enter your Northern Student ID number 
  • Click the printer icon in the top right-hand corner to print the worksheet.
2. Check your account for holds in NOW. 
  • Click on NOW Access
  • Choose Student, then Student Records
  • Click on View Holds
3. Reach out to your advisor (contact information is available on the main page of your student portal)
4. Register for Spring Classes
5. Watch your student email for registration confirmation or a request for missing information

Thanksgiving Food Drive
Our food drive runs through November 12.

All food donations will go to our students to help make their Thanksgiving meal special

Please feel free to donate anything else you think will be able to help our students have a nice Thanksgiving meal this year.

Consider donating the following items:
Boxed Stuffing Mix, Instant Mashed Potatoes in boxes or packets, Jars of Turkey Gravy or Dried Gravy Mix Packets, Canned Yams, Cranberry Sauce, Canned Veggies /fruits (green beans, corn, peas, black eyed peas, peaches), Cornbread Mix, Canned Pumpkin or Fruit Pie Filling, Pie Crust Mix, Salt and Pepper, Boxed Macaroni and Cheese, Cake/Brownie Mix and Can of Frosting, Rice, or anything else that will make a happy Thanksgiving!

Becoming an Effective Stress Manager

  1. Schedule an advising appointment with your faculty supervisor sooner than later. 
  2. Use the schedule planner on Northern Navigator to get an idea of what classes you are interested in. This step will save you time the day of your appointment!
  3. Make a separate list of classes in case the classes you originally requested are already full
