RECAPPING THE HIGH HOLY DAYS
|
We hope everyone had a wonderful few weeks celebrating the High Holy Days!
We wish a Happy and Sweet New Year to everyone whether you celebrated with us or spent time with family away from Or Chadash! Thank you to everyone who helped us prepare for our services and to all who contributed donations to support our congregation and synagogue.
A SPECIAL THANK YOU...
The Or Chadash Temple Youth Group (OCTY) is so happy to share that your generous donations during the High Holiday Food Drive totaled over an amazing
1,000 lbs!
The volunteers at the Open Cupboard in Clinton were overwhelmed with Or Chadash's generosity. In addition, we donated $245 worth of gift cards for ShopRite and Stop & Shop. All of us in OCTY would like to thank all of the members of Or Chadash for being so generous and making this food drive so successful! Thank you!

IN THE COMMUNITY...
A message from Robin Wishnie, Executive Director of the Jewish Federation of Somerset, Hunterdon, and Warren Counties...
Hello Everyone,
We have slammed into the 2018 hurricane season. Hurricane Florence, the first major storm, has wreaked havoc on the Carolinas and southern East Coast, and we know that more hurricanes threaten to follow.
When disaster first strikes, immediate aid is needed to help communities get back on their feet. Afterwards, rebuilding and strengthening resilience can take years.
But, just as with Hurricanes Katrina and Harvey, Jewish Federations are there-helping make sure that the urgent needs of the most severely impacted are met.
We have opened a fund for victims of Hurricane Florence, as we have done for previous hurricanes. Please help these hurricane victims today.
