At this show, fans will be treated to songs from across Sully's recording career, including some of their favorite Godsmack songs. 1st Annual Car Show & Swap Meet: Will be held at The Good Shepard Parish, 1598 S. Main St., Fall River on Saturday May 7th from 9:00am to 2:00pm we will hold our first annual Car Show and Swap Meet to benefit the Parish. All vehicles are welcome - antiques, muscle cars, imports, trucks and motorcycles. Registration is $10.00 per vehicle and trophies will be awarded. Diman Regional to Host Walk to Benefit the Dana-Farber Cancer Institute: Members of the Diman Regional Vocational High School's Junior Class Committee are organizing the "Stomping Out Cancer One Paw at a Time Walk" on Saturday May 14th at 9:30 a.m. at the Diman Track. All proceeds from the event will benefit the Dana-Farber Cancer Institute. Along with the walk there will be food and beverages, live entertainment, a health fair, games, face painting and craft stations.  The Great Golf Ball Drop to Benefit Hospice:
The Great Golf Ball Drop fundraising event will be held on Friday, May 13th from 6:00 to 9:00 pm. A helicopter will fly over The Kittansett Club, 11 Point Rd., Marion and drop 1500 numbered balls over a make-shift pin on the grounds. Chances are $10 each and winners will receive $1500 for the first ball in the hole, $1000 for the ball closest to the pin, and $500 for the ball farthest from the hole. Following the Great Golf Ball Drop, guests are invited to stay at The Kittansett Club for exquisite food, open bar, entertainment by Truman Terrell, and a unique silent auction featuring trips, tickets and experiences including a week golf stay at Hilton Head Island, South Carolina. Coalition for Buzzards Bay 23rd Annual Meeting: The Coalition for Buzzards Bay will hold its 23rd Annual Meeting at the new Buzzards Bay Center, 114 Front Street, Downtown New Bedford on Thursday, May 5th at 6:00 pm. The evening will begin with a reception at 6:00 pm, including a cash bar and light hors d'oeuvres. The meeting will follow at 7:00 pm and will include a discussion of the organization's 2010 accomplishments, election of Board Members, and presentation of 2011 Buzzards Bay Guardian Awards to two recipients. The Buzzards Bay Guardian Award is the highest honor bestowed by the Coalition for Buzzards Bay to a citizen volunteer, as an organization, or as a public official or employee who have demonstrated outstanding service in the clean-up, restoration or protection of the bay. The meeting will include a talk and discussion with Jon Mueller, Vice President of Litigation for the Chesapeake Bay Foundation (CBF) in Maryland, who will speak about CBF's precedent-setting work to cleanup nitrogen pollution in the Chesapeake and the legal and political implications for other waterways like Buzzards Bay. Mother's Day Workshop for Children: Even children know that nothing says "I love you" better than flowers. The Soup and Sandwich Luncheon will be served from 11:30 A.M. to 1:30 P.M. The price of the luncheon is $8.50 for adults and $5.00 for children aged 12 and under.
