Calling all pastors: Please join us on Monday, September 16 at Stronghold for an opportunity to "take a deep breath" and relax. While no formal program is offered, we are planning some worship time, outdoor time, creative time and fellowship. You may arrive any time after noon.

A comfortable room in Heritage Lodge is available for $100 (share if you wish) and includes evening snacks and beverages. Oregon offers several dining options.

Then commute on foot to the assembly meeting Tuesday morning.

The Blackhawk Mission Committee is asking for your help to assemble an "Apartment Box" for new immigrants in Chicagoland. When they find housing, these families have no basic household supplies. Our friends at Elgin First Presbyterian are assisting some of those in need in their area and welcome your help.

Donations must be brought to the Presbytery Assembly meeting at Stronghold on September 17.

You will hear more about becoming a vital congregation by practicing "Outward Incarnational Focus". You can expect an inspiring worship service with Holy Communion, small group discussions, and snapshots of what is happening in the Presbytery's churches and committees.

We are beginning a new outreach effort we are calling “Coffee in Your Corner”. The Presbytery staff (Eric and Loreen) will be traveling around the Presbytery every 4-6 weeks to meet at a coffee shop where folks from surrounding churches (not just pastors!) can drop in for conversation, ask questions and just generally get to know us and each other.

Our next stop: Tuesday, Sept. 10, 2-3:30 at Mimi's Cafe in Wilmington.
