The Rockport Division of the Greater Cape Ann Chamber of Commerce will hold the 30th annual Rockport Community Easter Egg Hunt on Saturday, April 16 at 2 PM. The event is for the children of the town - preschoolers through grade one – and will take place at Millbrook Meadow, Beach Street, Rockport.

Extravaganza for Four Harpsichords & Strings

Four virtuoso harpsichordists, Elliot Figg, Frances Fitch, Lenora McCroskey and Peter Sykes will be joined by the period string ensemble ‘Arpeggione’ to present our annual birthday celebration concert in honor of Johann Sebastian Bach. They will perform the rarely-heard Concerto in C-major and Concerto in D-minor by Bach for three harpsichords and strings, the Banchetto Musicale, No. 1 by Johann Hermann Schein for strings and harpsichord continuo, plus an extremely-rare performance of the Concerto in A-minor for four harpsichords by Bach, adapted from Vivaldi. The Power of Play

A day of hands-on, low-tech play for all ages, hosted by Gloucester Education Foundation and run by a powerhouse team of community and student volunteers! The Power of Play centers around fun family activities, and is designed to be welcoming to a broad spectrum of ages, ability levels, and learning styles. This year’s event will also feature some special activities from regions around the world that are present in our Gloucester community. Gloucester families, friends and children of all ages. SeniorCare Inc. will hold its 49th annual Meals on Wheels Breakfast Fundraiser Breakfast at The Gloucester House, on Friday, March 31, 2023, from 7:00 am to 9:30 am. Tickets are $20 per person and include a buffet breakfast. Tickets are available online at www.seniorcareinc.org or may be purchased at the door. Proceeds from the breakfast will benefit SeniorCare’s Meals on Wheels program. Exciting raffle and auction items will be available for bidding at the breakfast—including a 6-hour fishing trip aboard the television hit series Wicked Tuna’s “Hard Merchandise” with Captain Dave Marciano!

Local mycophile Maria Pinto will dig into the fascinating world of mycorrhizal fungi and shed light on the special relationships they build with trees.
