Rockport Art Association & Museum’s Experimental Group Opens Twentieth Show
Exhibition: Through April 28
Charles Fine Arts Gallery, Gloucester
Works on view in the exhibition range in medium to include paintings, mixed-media, graphics, sculpture, digital art and photography. The exhibition runs from April 1 through April 28. The Experimental Group is a creative forum, its’ main mission is to increase public awareness and to foster self-expression by bringing artists together to explore and share ideas that cultivate creative freedom. Eric Pape at Hammond Castle Museum

Join Hammond Castle for a very special exhibit of works by American artist and former Cape Ann resident, Eric Pape (1870 -1938). The Eric Pape At Hammond Castle Museum exhibit will consist of more than two dozen works by Pape, many of which have not been seen publicly in nearly a century. At the time of the exhibit, it is expected to be the largest collection of Pape’s artworks on public display anywhere in the world.

A Matter of Balance Workshop

The Empty Bowl Marketplace has been reimagined with a new twist—a street fair-themed event at Cruiseport in Gloucester.
Step through the doors and into a dining room transformed into a colorful marketplace packed with this year's bowls. Choose your favorite bowl and then head to the lower level to bid on auction bowls, get your picture taken, and pick up your dinner from the Farmers' Truck. The bowl will go home as a reminder that somewhere, someone's bowl is empty.

After a three-year hiatus, the Gloucester Education Foundation and Gloucester Public Schools are thrilled to relaunch the Gloucester Student Arts Festival, a daylong celebration of the arts in the Gloucester Public Schools! The festival will feature:
Displays of Student Work from grades PreK-12 at City Hall, the Cape Ann Museum, and MAGMA
Art-Making activities: print-making, cyanotypes, kite-making, Gloucester 400+ poetry project, Dance through the Decades with MAGMA, and more!
Performances: the Grades 4+5, O’Maley and GHS bands; elementary, O’Maley and GHS theater; 3rd grade recorders; Gloucester PreK Flash Mob; spoken word, poetry and more!
