Memorial Library

January 2019
A Letter from the Director...

Looking back over 2018, I am grateful for all our patrons, donors, community partners, and local leaders. Your support and participation are shaping the Memorial Library of Nazareth and Vicinity to be recognized as an organization that has spirit, energy, and passion to serve our community in a plethora of ways.

In 2019, the Library Staff and Library Board will concentrate on increasing awareness of, and access to, the fundamental types of literacy skills all people need to achieve success in the twenty-first century. Some of our upcoming initiatives focus on workforce development, health and nutrition education, finance management, teen programming, and serving those community members who have limited means to visit the library.

I strongly believe that the Memorial Library of Nazareth and Vicinity is evolving from an institution that provides information to a center of learning, creativity, and community development. This upcoming year promises to be bring even more unique services, programs, and learning opportunities for all ages.

See you at the library, Happy New Year!

Holly Bennett
Library Director, Information Conductor, and Community Ambassador

By the way, I'm currently reading & recommend,  Dear Evan Hansen: The Novel, by  Val Emmich and  Steven Levenson.

Library Fundraisers
It's a Wrap on the Holiday  Basket Raffle!

THANK YOU for the overwhelming response to our Annual Holiday Basket Raffle! We spoke with 35 very happy winners the week of December 17th when they stopped by the library to pick up their amazing baskets! Congratulations to all the winners, and many thanks to donating businesses &  individuals, plus all participants in the raffle. We raised $3,300, that's $1,400 more than last year! Since all proceeds benefit the library, we are now that much better able to serve you -- THANK YOU!

Annual Campaign

If we have your current address, you have received our Annual Campaign letter! We are counting on support from our patrons to enable us to continue offering free programs throughout the year, updated/additional resources, and current technology to meet your needs. If you haven't had time to read though the letter, please take a few moments to do so...and if you haven't received one, we have them available at both circulation desks.
Every donation counts, every donation helps!

We thank you for your continued support!

A gift to your library is a gift to yourself.
Over the years, patrons and friends of the Memorial Library of Nazareth and Vicinity have made contributions in a variety of ways. They have taken advantage of the opportunity to reduce the cost of gifts through tax savings, while at the same time maintaining or increasing their value to the library. Memorial and other special gifts are a meaningful way of paying tribute or recognizing a special achievement. Contributions to the Library are tax deductible.
