Each year the Paint the Town Purple committee supports the UCA Bears through t-shirt and decal sales, a kindergarten coloring contest, business decorating contests, watch parties, and the promotion of retailers who sell BEARaphanelia. BEARaphanelia is a new term introduced last year to describe those who sell UCA merchandise, purple items, provide promotional discounts, offer special menu items, or any other items that support the UCA Bears.

As we look toward the 2011 football season, we will encompass a season long approach and a greater focus on the economic impact to our business community.  We believe that a home football game weekend has a tremendous impact on our local businesses, and our goal is to quantify this impact.  The 2011 logo and t-shirt design will be unveiled mid-summer and orders will be available for pick-up before the first football game.  This is to ensure that our local businesses have all the materials, shirts, and spirit to support the Bears all season long!  We appreciate the enthusiasm and creativity shown by numerous supporters throughout our community.  Now as you drive through Conway and see the town literally painted purple, you can actually feel the excitement in the air.  Conway businesses, managers, and employees have risen to the challenge and proudly say "Go Bears!"
