Save the Date - Operation Green Light

Mark your calendars! Operation Green Light will begin on Wednesday, April 10th through April 30th. This year, I have authorized my office to waive collections fees during this time period, providing a chance to pay outstanding fines, fees, and court costs. Cases that qualify for Operation Green Light are parking, traffic, misdemeanor and felony cases. For more information visit or by calling 305-349-7391.

I have implemented a pilot program extending hours of operation at two branch locations to allow working residents extra time to pay their court costs without having to take time off from work. South Dade Justice Center (10710 SW 211 St, Cutler Bay, FL 33189) and Joseph Caleb Center (5400 NW 22nd Ave, Miami, FL 33142) will extend their hours of operation on Thursdays from 9 a.m. to 8 p.m. and Saturdays from 9 a.m. to 1 p.m. All court related financial obligations can be addressed during these extended hours.

One of my top priorities is informing and assisting the citizens and property owners of Miami-Dade County as it relates to property fraud. Prior to me assuming the position of Clerk of the Court and Comptroller, I co-sponsored House Bill (HB) 1419 which addressed property fraud head on.

This free registration alert system alerts property owners of potential property fraud. Property fraud occurs when an individual uses a forged document to sell, transfer or incumber property that does not belong to them. Forged documents may or may not affect the property, however, it may give the appearance to the rest of the world that the status or ownership of the property has been changed. If you believe you have been a victim of property fraud, removing this change from your title can be a complicated process.

If you suspect that someone has obtained a fraudulent deed to your property, call the Miami-Dade Police Department Organized Crimes Bureau's Economic and Specialized Investigation Section at 305-994-1000. Additionally, steps to take can be found in the Property Fraud page titled STEPS TO TAKE FOR VICTIMS OF PROPERTY FRAUD.

SCAM ALERT: Please know that Miami Dade County Clerk of Courts will not harass or threaten you via any form of communication concerning Jury Duty including threats to impose financial penalties. These attempts are scams and should be reported to Miami Dade County Clerk of Courts and your local law enforcement agency. The Miami Dade County Clerk of Courts' communications are limited to reporting instructions and other information for prospective jurors. If you have any questions or concerns, please call our office at 786-828-5879, Monday through Friday from 10 a.m. - 4 p.m.

Did you get a Parking or Traffic Ticket?

Did you know that the Clerk of the Court and Comptroller DOES NOT issue Parking or Traffic tickets? We only administer the collection of payments on behalf of the issuing agency.

  • What if I paid for parking and I still received a Parking Ticket?
  1. Ensure you have a copy of your paid parking receipt.
  2. Contact the issuing agency of your parking ticket and dispute the citation.
  • Only the issuing agency can dismiss your parking citation. Parking agencies allow you to dispute you citation via their respective website, but ensure you have proof of payment and that the details are accurate (location/space number, tag number and time paid).

  • What if I received a traffic citation (moving or non-moving violation), what are my options?
  1. Upon receipt of a traffic citation for a civil infraction, you have 30 days from the date of issuance to satisfy your obligation.
  • Pay the citation (either in person or online).
  • Elect traffic school.
  • Request a court hearing to dispute.
