This Sunday we are excited to welcome Prof. Roi Boyd back to UWSC as our guest speaker. Roi is a Professor of Mass Communications at Virginia Commonwealth University. Since 1989, he has performed, directed, stage managed, and taught in educational, community, equity and professional theater in over 20 stage plays in Virginia, North Carolina, and New York City. In addition to his university teaching appointments, Boyd has taught middle and high school theater for nearly 20 years. He currently hosts and co-produce a local public access television show entitled Sepia Cinema, a program that spotlights Race Movies, African American Independent Cinema from 1918 to 1951.

Probably no prayer is so familiar to students of Truth as this simple affirmation. Many have used these words in time of trial and have known the response of God's sure, unfailing help. "God is my help in every need." No matter what the circumstance, the problem, or desire, God is the help that never fails. God is your help not only in the time of trial or testing but throughout every moment of your day. Spirit is your constant guide and companion. You can avail yourself of this power right now. As you become more aware of your oneness with Spirit and its all-providing help, your life will be filled with new blessings and with joys that far exceed your expectations. God is my help in every need. | |

WOW! Did we ever have a wonderful experience on Sunday at our End of Summer Hootenanny! The joy and love that emanated from our congregation was palpable. We see what we have as a community going forward and now we feel it! We are so grateful for everything each of you do and every piece of energy you share.
