CHURCHES REACH 1000 UKRANIAN SOLDIERS WITH THE GOSPEL

God's word to those close to death

ORH is thankful to work with partners around the world who are doing such good work. In Ukraine, ORH has worked with Sam Slobodian and Baptist International Evangelistic Ministries. ORH joined in a project devised by Ukrainian Churches and BIEM to help with family members in the military.

Brother Slobodian wrote the following:

"Dear brother Jan, 

Although spring is gradually coming to both the U.S. and Ukraine, the unexpected gifts of warm clothing remain a warm memory in the minds of both the soldier recipients and the family members we enabled to supply clothing. You asked for some photos. Although most recipients have no direct contact with BIEM (their families and friends are the ones who bought and transported clothing for their loved ones), we do have some photos we can share. Also, at the end of this message I’m including links to several BIEM videos about this project to supply warm clothes for Ukrainian soldiers in active service. Those videos also include snippets of live thanks and snapshots of soldiers and some from family members who went shopping for them, thanks to our gifts.  We are still in the process of collecting pictures and notes of thanks. Therefore, we will have more to share with you later.

Thank you so much for the tremendous boost that you and Operation Renewed Hope gave to this project! And let me add that prayers for the souls of unsaved recipients of this clothing are still very appropriate. We hope the gifts they received, and the printed Word of God will draw them another step closer to trusting Christ for their eternal salvation."

The families in the churches registered soldiers who were family and non-family members. They were able to raise money to help 1000 soldiers. All the soldiers received the Gospel and a New Testament in their clothing boxes.

ORH provided $10,000 to the BIEM project made possible by your giving and following God's leading. Thank you for your support for our evangelistic medical clinics, disaster relief work, boot camps, Homes of Hope, Air Hope, Telemedicine, Infuse, and more.

DUNYA IS DOING GREAT

She is at the fair and loving it!

For those of you who might not know, Dunya is from Afghanistan via Tajikistan where her family was living as Christian refugees after the United States pulled out of Afghanistan. ORH was blessed by God to bring her family and a translator with his family to the United States. All together nine people composed the two families which came from Tajikistan.

Dunya required a heart surgery which needed to be done in the United States. The Fontan procedure diverted the venous blood directly to the pulmonary arteries, Thankfully the Medical College of South Carolina with their excellent surgical staff saved her life. When she entered the country her oxygen levels were greatly reduced, but now she is receiving greater oxygen levels.

Thank God; the surgery is completed, and she is doing very well. Thank you for praying and giving so that ORH could bring this child to the United States. We wish to thank Restoration Church of Charleston for housing the families, and also Berean Baptist Church of Florence, SC which has been a magnificent help.

This life-saving opportunity would not have occurred except by the great efforts of Dr. Stephen Dersch, an elder at Berean Baptist Church.

Above all, ORH is thankful to our merciful God and Savior, Jesus Christ.

God has blessed the two fathers of the families with jobs that are gradually paying the expenses of living in America. They want to work; pray God will help them.

(By the way the translator's wife delivered a beautiful baby girl! They named her Mary.)
