God is good! So often I am overwhelmed by God's grace and goodness. Recently, that has been the feeling around our office. As you all know, little Joan is with her forever family! Below is a photo of her family now that they are back in the US.Needless to say little Suubi (Joan) is probably going to be spoiled by her big brothers.

Mark, Erika, and Suubi Chapman with her three big brothers McCall, Haig, and Eli.
We have 5 families currently awaiting court dates from Uganda. Although courts have reopened, the families have not yet received court dates. Please pray for these families as the wait to be told they can travel. The wait to receive your child is always long one, no matter how few or how many days pass.
Ken sent an e-mail a few days ago letting me know that the rain had damaged one of the walls on the new baby's home. Unfortunately, this means that we will have to invest more money to repair the wall and install the gutter system in order to prevent any additional damage. We have not yet raised any more funds toward the completion of the new baby's home, but we know that God is faithful, and we trust his timing.
For the month of August, we are $600 short of the monthly budget with September's budget looming just around the corner. Please join us in prayer as we raise funds for the needs of the baby home.
October 5, 2013 marks the fundraiser for Vivian's Hope which is a group of volunteers in California who raise funds for the medical needs at the baby home. Ken will be present at the event and thanks to some of the folks putting on this great event, I will be able to attend as well. They have graciously donated flight miles and a home for me to stay in so that we can keep travel costs low. Thanks to everyone who helped. I can't wait for this great event! All of you located in the Southern California area, please join us! Tickets can be purchased here.
In addition, Ken's travel to and within the US has been booked as I mentioned in my previous e-mail. We have found that the expense of bringing Ken to the US is well worth it as churches begin to hear about his ministry and commit to prayer and financial support. If you would like to donate toward the cost of the baby's home or Ken's travel expenses, please click here.
