VITA SEASON SUCCESS!


We're thrilled to share the achievements of UWCK's Volunteer Income Tax Assistance (VITA) program:

  • Total Refunds for 2023: $346,000+
  • Tax Preparation Fee Savings: Over $134,200

Thanks to our dedicated volunteers and staff, nearly 500 taxpayers received vital assistance, ensuring accurate tax filing at no cost.

EARTH DAY FEATURE!


UWCK collaborated with United Way Worldwide to spotlight our dedication to reef restoration in Monroe County. On Earth Day, United Way shared a video and a blog post showcasing these efforts. We deeply appreciate the support of our donors, community members, and partners, without whom our reef restoration initiatives would not be possible.

UWCK in the Community

UWCK is honored to receive the Monroe County School District GEMS (Great Educational Moments for Students) award.

UWCK's Success by 6 school readiness program was awarded $15,900 from Ocean Reef Community Foundation.

UWCK Philanthropy Coordinator, Michelle Nevel, connected with adult education classes in Key West, discussing United Way's mission and community involvement.

UWCK Keys Area President Leah Stockton engage with members of the Key Largo Rotary, where we shared insights into our ongoing efforts and initiatives within the Keys community.

UWCK Case Manager Carolina Heiser participated in a special appreciation event for social workers and case managers in Naples.

UWCK's VP of Community Impact, Ashley Jones, recently visited our valued partner, Sunrise Community of Southwest Florida.

UWCK's VP of Philanthropy, Brittni Brown, and VP of Community Impact, Ashley Jones, joined a Kendra Scott Gives Back event supporting UWCK.
