"The 'Feminization' of Ministry"
Rev. Denis and Penny Hall
There is no denying that the role of women in ministry has changed dramatically, and has ultimately transformed Unitarian Universalism on all levels. How we talk about that change says a lot about how we are affected.

The theme this month is
Transformation
We made our own sets of prayer beads last Sunday and Kelsey shared the above photo afterwards. Can you see the tiny friend who is visiting her plastic flower bead?
Here is a lovely poem from the Soul Matters collection, touching on the connection between learning and transformation. We are all works in progress with so much to learn and so much capacity for change, but that doesn't mean that who we are right now isn't perfect.

Masking Guide
In the spirit of our covenant of love and helping one another, and in light of the increasing COVID, flu, and RSV transmission rates, we request that — unless you really can’t — you wear a mask during services and gatherings so that we can all keep one another healthy. Events involving the serving of food are postponed until the Spring.

Part of me is a little tired of talking about the Unitarian Universalist Association’s proposed change to Article II of our bylaws, which would reimagine our guiding principles. I’ve actually been paying attention to the process from the beginning. Sometimes it feels like it’s been going on forever, but it hasn’t. READ MORE

Stewardship Campaign 2024
Make a Loving InvestMINT
Have you been checking the bulletin board in the Oneto room to see how well you are doing reaching the Stewardship campaign goal of $200,000? This kind of engageMINT leads to wonderful programs and activities that provide enrichMINT and enjoyMINT for our congregation and the local community.
It enables UUCSC to better live as we desire in the expression of our vision and mission statements.
Vision Statement
The Unitarian Universalist Congregation of South County expresses the power of our faith in making choices to transform ourselves and our community. We serve as a liberal beacon seeking truth, spiritual growth, and celebration in diverse religious traditions and theological beliefs. As we minister to each other with caring and compassion, our strong bonds in love and friendship will sustain our children and our planet through our actions.

Reaching out to UU Alumni of Boston Colleges
UU congregations offer incredible support to children as they grow up in our congregations, but when they leave for college UUism is largely absent at this formative time in their lives. Sanctuary Boston's Campus Ministry is imagining something different and building a cross-campus program so that every UU student that comes to the Boston area will know that there is a spiritual home here for them.
Sanctuary Boston is launching a program to build a network of support for those UU student leaders. They're looking to find and connect with as many UUs as possible who are alumni of colleges in the Boston area. Read more

1. We need people to serve as Zoom virtual hosts for Sunday livestreamed services. Contact Kathy Swink: swinkk@verizon.net. if interested.
2. We also need people to learn how to set up their iPhone in the Sanctuary for livestreaming on zoom when Rev. Denis isn’t leading worship services. Contact Nancy Richman: nrichman618@gmail.com. Nancy will train new people in March.
PLEASE consider stepping up as a Zoom virtual host or Zoom set-up person so others can worship with us if they can’t do so in person.
