The UTRGV SBDC will present a business planning session as part of the Boots to Business Reboot, an entrepreneurship training program for veterans and military spouses. The program, hosted by the SBA Lower Rio Grande Valley District Office, will take place on June 13, 2024, in Weslaco. Visit Boots to Business to learn more.

The UTRGV SBDC will present a business startup session at the third annual Startup Resource Expo in Weslaco. The event, hosted by the UTRGV Center for Innovation & Commercialization, will occur on June 14, 2024. Visit Startup Resource Expo to learn more.

Vitality Family Medical Group, PLLC is a primary care practice that provides comprehensive preventative, acute, and chronic disease-management services for patients.


The new business in McAllen is co-owned and operated by nurse practitioners Omar Longoria, Criselda Garza-Molina, and Sarah Adkins.

US Small Business Administration (SBA) for the Lower Rio Grande Valley District

The SBA Lower Rio Grande Valley District Office services 14 counties in southern Texas. The local SBA office is in Harlingen and can be reached at (956) 427-8533. At The University of Texas Rio Grande Valley, the UTRGV SBDC is a center of the Office of Workforce and Economic Development (OWED), under the UTRGV Division of Governmental & Community Relations.
