 This workshop will help you deconstruct your current project delivery process to identify barriers and formulate strategies to raise the bar and be on a path of continuous improvement. This is a fun, highly interactive way to have valuable dialogue within the firm while charting a course for the future that improves client services, business development and internal efficiencies.

Passing the Green Associate exam will allow you to market your knowledge of the preeminent standards in the green building industry, and it is the first step in becoming a LEED Professional.
The LEED Green Associate credential is designed for professionals who want to demonstrate green building expertise in non-technical fields of practice. This credential attests to basic knowledge of green design, construction, and operations.
USGBC-Missouri Gateway's LEED Green Associate Exam Prep course is designed to prepare participants for the LEED Green Associate exam.
Participants will receive access to an online exam simulator to assist with continued exam preparation at the conclusion of the course.

The City of St. Louis Mayor Francis

bill, which requires existing municipal, commercial,
and residential buildings 50,000 square feet or larger to bench
mark and report to the City and utilities their energy and water usage an
nually
.
The ordinance covers approximately 900 existing buildings
. Benchmarking will allow building owners to see how their properties are using resources and will encourage owners to implement energy-efficiency measures.
With technical support and funding from the
City Energy Project, the City of St. Louis is also now accepting applications for a new
Technical Energy Advisor, who will assist building owners with their benchmarking efforts. Applications are due no later than 5:00 pm on March 24, 2017.

Energy benchmarking is the process of measuring how much energy your building consumes and comparing your energy performance to similar buildings. Benchmarking is the first step toward saving energy and money!
The U.S. Environmental Protection Agency's ENERGY STAR Portfolio Manager is an online, interactive energy management tool that allows you to measure and track your building's energy and water consumption, identify investment priorities, and verify improvements over time. All buildings benefit from benchmarking; businesses, schools, congregations, non-profits and local governments are encouraged to attend.
Municipal, commercial and eesidential buildings over 50,000 square feet in the City of St. Louis will be required to use ENERGY STAR Portfolio Manager to report the energy and water use data beginning in 2018.
Interested attendees should review
the event website to ensure they bring the information needed to start benchmarking in ENERGY STAR Portfolio Manager.
USGBC-Missouri Gateway Chapter members are invited to volunteer at the Benchmarking Jam. Experience with ENERGY STAR Portfolio Manager is required. Volunteers may self-report their participation for 2 GBCI CE hours in the volunteer category. Interested volunteers should register online.

Dr. Antwi Akom is a co-founder of the Institute for Sustainable Economic, Educational, and Environmental Design (I-SEEED), which focuses on building sustainable cities and schools. Professor Akom has collaborated with schools, community groups, policymakers and researchers to improve the lives and living conditions of poor people of color around the world. He is also associate professor of Africana studies and urban sociology at San Francisco State University where he specializes in climate justice, participatory technology, community-generated data, and social innovation.
 At the 2017 Sustainability Summit, attendees will learn and apply innovative approaches to setting and achieving sustainability targets for the St. Louis region through knowledge sharing and networking. The St. Louis region has a robust foundation for sustainability efforts: a strong, collectively developed regional sustainability plan (OneSTL), a thorough City of St. Louis Sustainability Plan, and a multitude of efforts, individuals, and initiatives dedicated to making our region a more sustainable and resilient place.
The summit will address 7 themes:
biodiversity, buildings/land use, energy/emissions, food, materials, transportation, and water/green infrastructure. Local governments, non-profits, elected officials, infrastructure providers, community leaders, academics, students, and other attendees will learn from regional and national leaders striving to set and achieve sustainability goals. Together, we will grow our capacity to advance the St. Louis region towards a sustainable, resilient, and equitable future.
