Dear Families,

We are so grateful for a positive year with many things to celebrate. We are wrapping up another year that was greatly impacted by the pandemic. Similar to last year, USF students, employees and families put great effort into keeping our campus safe. We have been able to realize our educational mission while maintaining a safe, healthy, on-campus learning environment. As our students are heading into finals week and graduation, we are also celebrating some return to normal, including the opportunity for an in-person graduation celebration. Over the next week we are celebrating our current student leaders accomplishments and impacts on USF. Also, we will be celebrating our graduating students with pinning ceremonies, honors convocation and graduation.

Additionally, our continuing students have had the opportunity to register for summer and fall classes and housing. If there are any questions or concerns about those course schedules or room assignments, please reach out so that we can provide the appropriate assistance. We are excited for our fall 2022 return date of August 22 with many of our athletes and student leaders returning to campus even earlier in August.

In May and throughout the summer, our incoming freshman and transfer students will complete their registration. We are seeing positive growth and vibrancy on campus and are excited for that positive momentum to continue in August. As we launch into the summer months, we encourage students to reflect on their learning this year and to continue to connect with us and share feedback on ways we can maintain and even increase the level of support we provide to them. We also encourage all students to save the date for the Fall 2022 Involvement Fair that will be held on the Quad on Wednesday, September 7. This is another great opportunity for students to engage with the campus community and continue to build their leadership skills.

Have a blessed summer,

Dr. Mollie Rockafellow

The university congratulates Mia Jones and Nicole Kulon, who received the Sister Rosemary Small Franciscan Values Award for 2022! This award honors and recognizes outstanding graduating seniors who have exemplified the four Franciscan values of respect, integrity, service and compassion during the course of their study at USF. The award is in honor of Sr. Rosemary Small '65, College of St. Francis alumna, member of the founding congregation and vice president emerita. Sr. Small served the university for more than 20 years as a faculty member, administrator, and Vice President for Mission Integration and Ministry. Congratulations, Mia and Nicole!
Keep Franciscan Education Possible

"Thank you parent donors who continue to help students obtain a Franciscan education. My fellow peers and I greatly appreciate your support!" - Senior Nicole Kulon, Sister Rosemary Small Franciscan Values Award Recipient and Servant Leader

USF’s Servant Leaders program started in fall 2019 and is one component of a successful grant proposal submitted to the Bob and Pat Wheeler Foundation. Servant Leaders serve in the role of mentor, event organizer, faith development, and other related Catholic and Christian perspectives that would enhance the faith based direction of the university's College of Business and Health Administration (COBHA). In addition to the creation of the Servant Leaders program, the successful proposal has resulted in the ongoing transition of COBHA into a Franciscan College focused on three core areas: faith, service, and academics.
