Grab Your Spot at the URISA GIS Leadership Academy

Cannot wait to spend five days with current and emerging GIS leaders in Portland next month. It's been a long time since we've been in the Pacific Northwest with this program. (Last time was Seattle in 2009.) So much to see and do in Portland, and no sales tax!

Join us (or send your emerging superstars) at the URISA GIS Leadership Academy for in-depth discussions and problem-solving on topics ranging from GIS strategic planning and team building to change management, resource allocation, and organizational capacity building.

Recent attendees have said:

  • "The GLA has definitely given me the reinvigoration I needed to tackle the next phase of our GIS program."
  • "I cannot say enough about the quality and value of the GLA. I never would have expected to learn so much in one week. Though like drinking from the fire hydrant at times, the content was applicable, well thought out, and practical! I will be a better leader, regardless of organization size, because of my experience! Thank you for the opportunity to be a part of it and learn."

There are three opportunities to attend this year, with limited capacity at each venue:

  • Portland, Oregon - August 16-20, 2021
  • St. Petersburg, Florida - November 8-12, 2021
  • Minneapolis, Minnesota - December 6-10, 2021

Click here to reserve your spot.

We will certainly offer a virtual GIS Leadership Academy again, though likely not until late Spring 2022. Locations for (no more than) two in-person GLAs in 2022 have yet to be determined.
