Resilience and Compassion Fatigue Training
Date
:
Tuesday, November 13, 2018
Time:
9:00 a.m. - 12:00 p.m.
Course Description:
This workshop reviews a wide array of information and skills to help those in social services build resiliency against the potentially detrimental impact of their work. Participants will explore effective strategies for coping with compassion fatigue as well as for developing professional and personal resilience.
Learning Objectives:
By the end of this training, participants will be able to:
- Describe the reasons and causes that lead to vulnerability when dealing with client trauma.
- Define compassion, compassion fatigue, and burnout.
- Develop strategies for building and maintaining resilience.
- Create a plan for self-care to promote personal well-being.
