OTES 2.0 Evaluator Training

May 12 - May 19, 2024

Asynchronous via Google Classroom; Mandatory Zooms on May 14th & May 16th, 2024 from 3:45-5:45 pm. The training will provide an understanding of the OTES Framework, including the Summative Matrix and Model, allow the practice of skills such as scripting, evidence analysis/categorizing and coaching, and allow for sharing of resources and best practices in educator evaluation. Eighteen (18) contact hours are available for this training. The cost is $200.00. A purchase order/PO# is required prior to training. Resident Educator Mentor Academy Training (Virtual)

Begins April 28, 2024

New mentors to the Resident Educator Program are required to be trained. This training is on your own time during the week of April 28- May 5, 2024. Registrants must successfully complete the 12-hour Mentor Academy Training to receive state mentor certification. The Academy focuses on the role of the mentor and the critical components of instructional mentoring. The training runs from April 28 through May 5, 2024 with two required Zoom sessions. The Zoom URL will be sent to registrants for April 30 & May 5, 2024 in late April. Both Zoom sessions will run from 3:45-5:45 pm. The cost is $170.00. Payment is due prior to the training. You may email a purchase order to lpeluso@esclakeeriewest.org or mail a check. School Counselor Evaluation System

September 26, 2024

OSCES training will be in person on September 26, 2024. The Ohio School Counselor Evaluation System (OSCES) Evaluator Training will prepare an evaluator of school counselors for effective, high quality, and consistent school counselor evaluation using the Ohio School Counselor Evaluation System. Evaluators of school counselors and the school counselors themselves are highly encouraged to attend together. To become a certified evaluator of school counselors in the State of Ohio, an individual must successfully complete this one-day, 6-hour training, delivered by an OSCES State Trainer. Upon successful completion of the training, a certificate of completion will be issued for verification. The training will provide for a better understanding of OSCES Framework and Model and allow the practice of skills and sharing of resources and best practices in evaluations. The performance of each school counselor is evaluated based on multiple factors derived from the standards, as well as their ability to produce positive student outcomes measured by locally determined metrics. Six (6) contact hours are available for this training. The registration fee is $150.00. A purchase order/PO# is required prior to training. OPES 2.0 Evaluator Training

OPES 2.0 New Evaluator is a two day training that will be held in person on September 4th and 5th, 2024. This training will introduce the essential components within the OPES 2.0 Framework and rubric (including principal performance on standard and how to incorporate student growth measures and how to collect and categorize evidence using the Principal Performance Evaluation Rubric. The cost of the training is $250.00. A purchase order/PO# is required prior to training.
