Spring Semester comes to a close...
EDUC149:  Economics for the Elementary and Middle School Classroom
It is essential for everyone to have a good understanding of economic principles and be able to make informed decisions in the global marketplace.  Economic  and financial literacy enable students to think and choose responsibly as producers, consumers, savers, investors, voters, and participants in a global society.

The EDUC 149 course is designed to help undergraduate students develop a deep understanding of economics content and introduce them to a variety of instructional strategies they can use with their future K-8 students.  Through participation in class activities and multiple assignments and projects, students learn about different economic systems and supply and demand forces that drive market economic systems, monetary and fiscal policies, and international trade.

This spring semester, 25 undergraduate students participated in the course taught by Dr. Nadia Kardash.  Due to increasing demand, this course is being offered for the first time during the summer semester.  If you are interested in enrolling, request information here.
