Construction now underway on The Irving at Mile High Vista

Where affordability and sustainability go hand-in-hand

This summer, the nonprofit housing provider Archway Communities will welcome the first residents to new, affordable homes on the Mosaic Community Campus. Archway is thoughtfully renovating four historic former dorms to become 154 new apartments. The buildings are held in ULC’s community land trust, ensuring permanent affordability and community-serving uses.

The transformation of the intersection of the South Park Hill and East Colfax neighborhoods will continue this fall, with the Denver School of the Arts hosting classes on the Mosaic Community Campus for the first time. Denver Urban Spectrum recently profiled prominent Denver attorney and ULC board chair Dawn Bookhardt.

ULC team update! Longtime ULC executive coordinator Chris Leding retired this month, wrapping up an esteemed career serving the Colorado community in public affairs, communications and executive support roles, including five years at ULC. 

While Chris will always be in our inner circle (though she may be road-tripping a lot more), we have recently welcomed Diana Arroyo to the ULC team. Diana is entering the nonprofit and real estate space from years in VIP hospitality and school nutrition. In her six years at Adams 14 School District, she oversaw 700 daily school meals. In a single summer during the pandemic, she ensured delivery of more than 100,000 school-provided meals for children and families living in and around Commerce City. Welcome, Diana!
