The ZSFG Gardening Department, with a history of creating meaningful places of refuge for the hospital’s workers and patients, introduces the Resilience Garden. Fittingly, the new garden was the site where the first 5 vaccinations in San Francisco were celebrated.

Garden elements include symbols of resiliency such as the Wollemi Pine and the hospital’s repurposed, historic fountain. Find respite in this tribute to our current and long history of facing epidemics in San Francisco. The garden is tucked into the East Side of Buildings 9/40/30 off 23rd Street.
