Volunteers Needed for Sharehouse Spruce Up This Friday!

Food Pantry Distributes Over 19,000 Pounds of Food

With the help of our hard-working volunteers from Lippert and Cummins-Meritor we distributed over 19,000 pounds of nutritious food to 347 families in need during our food pantry last week!

Clients received an abundance of fresh produce like cucumbers and non-perishable items such as pasta and more!

Ascension Thursday, was the official anniversary of the founding of Chaldean American Ladies of Charity. On May 9, 1961, the first Election of the Board of Directors of the Chaldean American Ladies of Charity was held with the guidance of the late Bishop George Garmo. A Special Mass and meeting of members was held on May 15, 1961, to recognize the official formation of the Chaldean American Ladies of Charity – the very first Chaldean non-profit organization.

UCFS-CALC is seeking volunteer tutors and reading specialists for our Project Achievement afterschool tutoring program. Help children improve their reading skills, academic performance, and their future!

Volunteers are needed on Tuesdays, 5:00 PM to 7:00 PM.

While we do accept gently used items in our Sharehouse, we provide our Clients with brand-new items as well. We do this for many reasons, such as the longevity of the item or for hygiene purposes, but most importantly, because our Clients deserve a dignified experience.
