There's been a lot going on over at the U2 camp lately. Bono & Edge released Spider-Man: Turn Off The Dark, and did a few live performances on TV of "Rise Above 1" from the album.  Check out their performance on American Idol.

U2 has also been debuting new material at some of their concerts. Some footage can be found on YouTube, check out the song Glastonbury. You can also here their new song Mercy on their EP album "Wide Awake In Europe" which was released on vinyl for Record Store Day.

There has also been talk of the new album U2 is working on. The band has worked with a few different producers but said the sessions with producer Danger Mouse (Gnarls Barkley, Broken Bells, Danger Doom, he also produced albums by Beck, Gorillaz, The Black Keys, and more) were the ones that turned out the best and will most likely be the songs they will use for the next album. 

U2 had hoped to have the album out by then end of this tour, but most likely we'll have to wait until the end of next year. Adam Clayton this to say "We had to have a meeting and look at the schedule to see if we could pick up any extra time to work on it, and we just realized that we couldn't. To be honest, everyone was a bit gutted. But it was the only sensible decision." After the U2360 Tour the band will return to the studio, and the three 150 foot high stage sets will be "recycled" as permanent event spaces around the world.
