Texas Partnership for Out of School Time and Texas Girls Collaborative Project are bringing the Million Girls Moonshot - SciGirls, STEM Role Models, & Messaging Workshop to several locations and conferences across Texas!

Agenda includes:

  • Overview of Million Girls Moonshot resources and frameworks
  • PBS SciGirls hands-on activities, strategies to engage girls in STEM, and resources
  • TXPOST High-Quality Standards
  • Effective, hands-on activity facilitation techniques and STEM messaging to engage girls in STEM
  • Strategies for effective engagement of STEM Role Models


Participants will engage in hands-on STEM learning, connect to an online educator community with access to facilitator guides, activities, videos, and other resources, and walk away with resources to lead TEKs-aligned STEM activities, including a goodie bag to support implementation!


After this workshop, participants will be better prepared to:  

  • Implement new strategies to engage girls in STEM; 
  • Share resources and learnings with others; and 
  • Educate others so that the materials are disseminated widely. 


Thanks to a generous grant from STEM Next through the Million Girls Moonshot initiative, this workshop is FREE for educators, advocates, and out-of-school-time professionals or administrators. 


Educators can earn 7 hours of CPE credits for participating in this workshop. Space is limited, so register today!
