Greetings Councilman,
As we close out the summer, we want to ensure we are doing our best to communicate with our constituents. Our normal Town Hall (originally scheduled for Tuesday, August 2nd) was moved to Tuesday, August 30th so that everyone could have the opportunity to enjoy National Night Out with Jersey City's finest.
At our August 30th Town Hall, we will discuss various items such as recent/amended Development Plans and the Senior Tax Freeze.
Due to the rise in gun violence in our community, I wanted to call a Special Town Hall sooner than later, to specifically discuss matters of Public Safety. This public discussion will take place TOMORROW/Thursday, August 18th at 6:30 PM at the City Hall Annex, located at 39 Kearney Ave. Public Safety Director Tawana Moody and Councilwomen Denise Ridley (Ward A) will be in attendance along with JCPD Captains of the East, West, and South Districts.
I hope to see you at both Town Hall events as we dissect the issues and discuss real solutions.
Be Great on Purpose,
Councilman Gilmore
