Labor Day Schedule Update
September 2
On Monday, September 2, Mass will be celebrated at 8:30 am (instead of the 12:15 pm Mass) and there will be no Confessions on this day. The parish office will be closed on Saturday, Aug. 31 - Monday, Sept. 2.

To the Sacred Heart of Jesus and Immaculate Heart of Mary
September 6
Saint William’s First Friday Devotion to the Sacred Heart of Jesus and Immaculate Heart of Mary takes place every first Friday of the month. We invite you, your family, and your friends to join in the next parish-wide devotion.
The devotion begins with the Friday 12:15 pm Mass. After Mass, Father processes with the Eucharist to the Sacred Heart Chapel where there will be Eucharistic Adoration until 8:30 am Saturday morning. The devotion ends with the 8:30 am Mass on Saturday.

First Friday Family Adoration
September 6, 5 pm - 6 pm
The whole family from littles to teens are welcome to come and go to best meet the needs of their families. Quiet whispering as you assist your child with prayer is welcome. Children’s Eucharistic Adoration Ministry will provide resources such as: Prayer Materials, Self-Guided Prayer Experiences, Prayer Manipulatives, and books for littles to teens. Or bring your own.

Wednesday Children's
Guided Adoration
September 11, 5:30 pm - 6:30 pm
Children of all ages are welcome with a parent or responsible adult. Children will be guided through a themed Holy Hour with a mixture of age-appropriate prayers, songs, reflections, scripture, times of prayerful silence, and Benediction. Cookies and juice immediately following in the courtyard. For more information, please email:

Please join us for That Man is You! which combines Scripture, research, and a little fun to address the pressures and temptations facing men in our modern culture. It seeks to form authentic leaders who will be capable of transforming homes and society.

Mission Cooperative 2024
Weekend of September 8
Next weekend, we welcome Fr. Antonio Carpena Lopez at all Masses. Fr. Antonio is from the Diócesis de Gracias in Honduras. This Diocese is newly created and located in two of the western states of the country. The purpose of the mission appeal is to bring an awareness of the diocesan pastoral mission needs and challenges to generate financial, pastoral, community and educational support. The second collection this weekend will support the mission of the Diocese of Gracias.

Mother-Daughter Retreat

We invite all mothers and their 13-16 year-old daughters to a Mother-Daughter Retreat. This is a wonderful opportunity to spend a morning together, sharing and pondering about the many beautiful ways God created you as a woman, and rejoicing at the wonderful plan He has for you to live a happy and fulfilling life. Registration ($20 for mother-daughter pair) is now open.

September is Suicide Prevention Month. A Mass and remembrance ritual will be celebrated Sept. 21 at 9 a.m. at St Albert the Great Parish in Austin. Father Charlie Garza will preside and preach.

American Heritage Girls (for Girls ages 5-18)
Starts September 12
American Heritage Girls Troop TX6201 is a Christ-centered character and leadership development program for girls 5 to 18 years of age. We meet at St. William and we'd love for your daughter to join us to learn new skills, earn badges, complete service projects, enjoy fellowship, and go camping! The Gift of Aging
September 12, Cedarbrake (Temple)
The gift of aging brings unique challenges and the wisdom for living in grace. This retreat will explore the soul’s journey as we age. The day will be led by Judy Hoelscher, a retired hospital and hospice chaplain and current teacher for the Spiritual Direction classes at Cedarbrake. The retreat from 9 a.m. to 2:30 p.m. with mass will include presentations, group discussions and times for reflection. The cost is $45, including lunch. Living a Trinitarian Spirituality
Sept. 27-29, Cedarbrake
This retreat explores the Blessed Trinity as a dynamic and relational mystery inviting human transformation. As we journey with those who embraced the Triune God these themes emerge: love, hospitality, poverty, beauty, desire, service and hope.
