Are you ready to move forward with your relationship with God and Tucker First UMC? We would love to officially welcome you as members of the Tucker First family. On Sunday, June 30, those wishing to join the membership of Tucker First UMC are invited to come down front at the end of the service. Please contact Rev. Katie Mattox at katie.mattox@ngumc.net or Rev. John at john.mattox@ngumc.net before June 30 or complete the membership information card on the back of the pew. Whether through a profession of faith or a transfer from another church, all are welcome to join!

We have brand new AED units in the Gathering Room, Activities Center, and Wesley Center.  These units are state of the art and easy to use.

If you'd like to learn more about them and feel more comfortable with the process, please join us for a short one-hour training session this Sunday, June 30 at 6 pm in Jenkins Hall.  Note that many of our ushers, staff, and leaders have also had this training.  No need to sign up.

July 3 Fireworks in Tucker affecting Church Office hours

The City of Tucker will host its annual Celebration of Independence and Fireworks Spectacular the evening of Wednesday, July 3rd. The fireworks will be launched from the city’s green space that lies between Church St. and Lavista Rd. and is adjacent to the church property.

You can enjoy the fireworks from downtown Tucker, NOT from the church property. The church property, including Church Street, must be evacuated by 12:00 pm for fireworks setup. The church office will close at noon on Wednesday, July 3 and be closed all day Thursday, July 4.

CWF School Supplies Drive

This year the CWF is collecting supplies to support our local cooperative ministry, NETWorks, with their Good Neighbor Back to School Shop. The school supplies will be distributed by NETWorks to families who qualify for their pantry services. A list of suggested supplies can be found on their website at https://www.networkscoop.org/bts

You can take supplies directly to NETWorks through Friday, July 19 or you can drop supplies off at Tucker First through Sunday, July 14. Look for the blue buckets and bins in the Sanctuary Gathering Area and in the lobby outside the Church office. If you have any questions, please contact Evelyn Burkett, the CWF school supplies drive coordinator at 404-727-1582. or ehburkett@comcast.net

How You Can Help our Shower Ministry

Our Shower Ministry is popular, and there are ways you can help!

- Consider volunteering. You don't need experience and our guests are very appreciative. Read the "Volunteer Guide" found in our Missions webpage to learn how we operate. Or, use this signupgenius weblink https://www.signupgenius.com/go/30E0B45A5AE23A1FF2-48136047-tfumc#/

- Sponsor a meal for lunch! You, your friends and/or your Sunday School Class can sign up to bring a meal or prepare one in the Activities Center Kitchen. We need a complete meal ready to serve at least 35 guests starting between 1pm and 1:30pm on Sundays. If you bring the food, we'll do the dishes! Use the sign up link below.

https://www.signupgenius.com/go/30E0B45A5AE23A1FF2-48136047-tfumc#/

- Donate needed items. We can always use toiletries like; toothbrushes and toothpaste, shavers (mens & womens), feminine products, deodorant (mens and womens), soaps and shampoos. Also, sweat pants, t-shirts and shoes (mens and womens, new and gently used).

- Share news of this ministry with your neighbors and acquaintances outside TFUMC. Many of our volunteers come from our extended community. Helping people in need is an innate need!
