In a rare moment, three of our Red & White Holsteins were photographed together eating. Here are Delaval, Lobster and Rapsidy in all their red glory! We only have 11 Red & White cows in our adult herd of 175, so seeing three in a row is pretty lucky. Happy St. Patrick's Day!

We had one double-winner in our February CA$H COW contest! Congrats to Learn & Play Daycare in Evansdale for finding two $5 jugs.
We will label 3 jugs with the big cash prize of $100 in March. Best chances to find them are right away at the beginning of the month! But make sure to keep looking throughout the month as we mark ten $5 jugs every week!
Look inside the jug toward the label to see a "5" or "100".

The March Customer of the Month is
Viki Fehr

Viki and her family have been buying Hansen's milk for more than 10 years from our Waterloo store. "We saw the milk store and stopped in to try it, and have loved it ever since," she said. "I love the taste and the freshness of Hansen's milk."
Viki even goes the extra mile with Hansen's heavy whipping cream. "I make butter and ice cream with Hansen's cream," she says.
Thanks, Viki! Customers of the Month receive a $5 gift certificate to use at our stores and two free hands-on tour passes to the farm (a $24 value). You could be chosen by filling out an entry form at our stores or through your comments on our

Our March Cow of the Month lives up to her name.
Luck
is 4 and a half years old and has given birth to three bulls.
She is a very good cow, especially for having only three teats that work! Luck was born with only three quarters of her udder that produce milk. The amazing thing is, she is our highest producing cow right now at 156 pounds of milk per today. She certainly has all the luck!

Cooking with Hansen's
|
Yogurt tenderizes meat much more gently and effectively than
regular marinades. While acidic vinegar- or citrus-based marinades can toughen proteins like chicken breast to a rubbery consistency, yogurt slowly tenderizes them, resulting in meat that can practically be pulled apart by hand. Yogurt marinades are highly effective when left on proteins for a long period of time (like 12 hours), but they work well in the short-term too.
This recipe is adapted from BudgetBytes.com, and starred ingredients can be purchased at Hansen's Dairy stores.
Yogurt-Marinated Greek Chicken
Prep time:
45
minutes
Marinate time: At least 30 minutes; up to 12 hours
INGREDIENTS
DIRECTIONS
To make the marinade, combine the yogurt, olive oil, minced garlic, oregano, salt, and some freshly cracked pepper in a bowl. Use a fine holed cheese grater or a zester to scrape the thin layer of yellow zest from the lemon skin into the bowl. Also add the juice from half of the lemon (about 1-2 Tbsp). Stir until the ingredients are well combined. Roughly chop a big handful, or about 1/4 bunch, of parsley and stir it into the marinade.
Add the chicken pieces and marinade to a gallon-sized zip top bag. Remove as much air as possible, close the bag tightly, and massage the bag to mix the contents and make sure the chicken is well coated. Refrigerate and let marinate for at least 30 minutes.
Cook the chicken on a grill OR preheat the oven to 375 degrees in preparation to bake the chicken. Place the chicken pieces in a large 9x13 casserole dish. Bake the chicken in the preheated 375 degree oven for 45-60 minutes, or until golden brown on top.
