You won't want to miss this season's showcase! We are so excited to share so many new and fun adventures! Plan to attend our upcoming Summer season travel presentation with the Recreation Program Coordinator Abid Ahmad, joined by trusted travel agents from TravelCenter, Premier, Mayflower, and Collette! We will be sharing information and updates our upcoming day trips through December 2024 and early 2025, along with some exciting extended travel opportunities for domestic and international adventures! Coffee and light refreshments will be served!

Head to the forest for a natural retreat for all your senses. Immerse yourself in the Muir Woods National Monument where you will have 1 hour and 30 minutes to truly soak in the greenery. Hike the easy loop, enjoy coffee in the café, do a little shopping in the gift shop, and take a deep breath in of that clean, redwood, air. After your hike, you will be dropped off on Main Street in Tiburon. This beautiful seaside town has many lunch options available for you to choose.
Mobility Rating 2/3 : This is a self-guided walking tour. The paths are paved, wooden, or compressed dirt. There are some benches within the park. The loop trail is a very easy, level, hike.

An exciting California showdown!
Enjoy Club Level seats in section 230, which will have partial shade. Club Level means if you are feeling too warm because of the sun, you can wander up to the temperature controlled club for seats, drinks, views, and food, in a comfortable environment.
This game will take place during the Fiesta Gigantes. Every September, the San Francisco Giants take the field as the San Francisco Gigantes. The jerseys are a celebration of the impact Hispanics have made on the game of baseball and the city of San Francisco. It’s a tradition that began in 2005 when the San Francisco Giants celebrated the career of Hall of Famer, Juan Marichal, with the dedication of a statue outside of the park. Gigantes is more than a Giants alternate jersey, for the Latin American players on the roster, it elicits pride and recognition of the contributions Latinos have made on bèisbol. ¡Viva Los Gigantes!

Enjoy Fleet Week like never before on Treasure Island, at a private historical venue, with gorgeous
views of the Bridge, the Bay, and the highly anticipated Blue Angels show.
You’ll first have time to explore the Treasure Island Museum. This Museum has gorgeous murals, and
houses a few exhibits chronicling the history of the former Naval Station, like “Little Island, Big Ideas: The First 70 Years of Treasure Island History”. You will then take a 1-minute walk to your actual location for the day, the Woods Island Club. This venue is a true part of history, that is still decorated in Art Deco style. Originally the administrative center for the 1939 World’s Fair and the terminal building for the Pan Am Clippers, now an Island Club destination with a picturesque view of San Francisco’s skyline.

Start by pulling up to the Ferry Building, where you will have a quick look at the whimsical decorations and pickup your tour guide, Craig Smith. Craig is a San Francisco historian, who has been living in San Francisco and guiding tours since he was a teenager. His vast knowledge of the city will take you to all the most unique places, while you listen to the best tidbits of city facts, as you drive by beautiful landmarks, and even visit some of them.

Scholarships are available to adults 50+ residing in Concord who wish to participate in any of the programs, events, memberships, or activities at the Concord Senior Center. Approved applicants receive a maximum of $100 per individual / per year with a $5 copay. Complete an application, activity choice and provide supporting documents to Concord Senior Center staff for review. Please visit or call for more information at (925) 671-3320.
*Scholarship funds may be applied towards travel reservations, except for casinos.

Pay close attention to the registration deadlines for your desired trips so that we can meet passenger minimums to avoid cancellations due to low enrollment. You may register online, in-person or over-the-phone for any of our upcoming Day Trips and Tours. *A trip may need to be cancelled if minimums are not met by the deadlines.

For cancellations and refunds towards day trip registrations, please note
NO REFUNDS will be issued after final payments have been made to the vendors. If you require a cancellation after those payments have been made, a refund will be determined by finding a replacement for your empty seat. City of Concord Recreation Services does maintain a wait list for each trip, so we can help fill the empty seat if we are able to add a waitlisted guest for the trip, however there is no refund guarantee until your empty seat has been filled and a payment for the alternate passenger has been completed. A $5 withdrawal fee applies to all cancellations. Trips operate rain or shine and may be delayed due to circumstances outside of our control (i.e. traffic, emergencies, weather, delays, etc.).
